Graduation Requirements

The minimum graduation requirements for graduation from Crossroads Preparatory Academy includes:
  • 4 credits of English
  • 3 credits of Mathematics
  • 3 credits of Science
  • 3 credits of Social Studies
  • 2 Credits of Foreign Language
  • 1 credit of PE
  • .5 credit of Health
  • .5 Credit of Personal Finance
  • 1 credit of Practical Arts
  • 1 credit of Fine Arts
  • 5 credits of Electives
In addition to the program of study for graduation, a student shall: 
  • Complete EOC Courses as defined in the End of Course Exams Section
  • complete Twenty-Five (25) hours of approved community service
  • take the ACT, SAT, ASVAB, or ACT WorkKeys Test 
Graduation requirements for a student with a disability receiving special education services pursuant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) may be determined according to the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).

College & Career Center

The Crossroads Preparatory Academy College and Career Center provides a variety of resources for college and career planning.  It is a place where students can come to obtain information on four-year colleges, community colleges, and universities, testing and test preparation, Military Information, financial aid and scholarships, career possibilities, and college majors’ descriptions.

In addition to scheduled appointments, students are welcome to come to the College and Career Center before school, lunch, and after school to utilize resources.

Individual Academic and Career Plans (ICAP)

Individual Career and Academic Plans (ICAPs) is a required multi-year process that guides students and families in the exploration of career, academic, and post-secondary opportunities. Starting in sixth grade and continuing throughout high school, students create and update an ongoing plan, supported by adults, in career interests, goal setting, college opportunities, financial aid, and skills that increase academic success. With the support of adults, students develop the awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and skills to create their own meaningful and powerful pathways to be career and college ready.

Seal of Biliteracy

Crossroads Charter Schools has been approved for the Seal of Biliteracy Program by DESE. This is a great honor and opportunity for our students. The Seal of Biliteracy acknowledges students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. By recognizing the bilingual abilities of our students, Crossroads Charter Schools values the cultural and linguistic diversity of our community. This program encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors our students’ language acquisition skills, and is an attractive addition for future employers and college admissions offices. Students will receive a high school transcript and diploma noting the Biliteracy achievement that many colleges, universities, and jobs will recognize and honor.
